removal and replacement of stainless steel tanks

Project: Tank Replacement
John Tracey Specialist Welding were contracted by Cardowan Creameries to manage the removal and
replacement of 3 stainless steel tanks at their premises at Parkhead, Glasgow. The replacement scope
involved not only the fabrication of new larger tanks, but also required all pipework including gauges, which
together significantly improved the operating efficiency of the system.

Project: Key Weld Procedures
We were contracted to deliver key weld procedures, as part of the project to
build multiple huge-scale lifting frames for a new nuclear
powerplant in Somerset, England. The procedures consisted
of a variety of different grades of steels and needed to be
welded in multiple positions.

Project: Specialist Welding
John Tracey Specialist Welding were recently
contracted by one of our recurring clients, Linnell, to build
two angled aluminium handrails.
Whilst the drawing were relatively straightforward, the
large difference in thicknesses of the materials suggested a
slightly more complex scope than first thought.

Project: Gas Riser Works
Phoenix Utilities Ltd approached John Tracey Specialist
Welding Ltd to carry out Gas Riser works at Whitlawburn site
in Cambuslang as Phoenix were aware of JTSW Ltd being an
approved contractor. The project followed similar gas riser
requirements for the fitting of the entry T pieces to the blocks
then fabricating, welding and mechanical fixing of the pipes
to individual flats.

Project: Hydraulic Fittings
JTSW delivered a series of hydraulic fittings, for our valued client Hydrasun. The hydraulic fittings, each involving two welds, at either 90 degree or 45 degree elbows, are used by the firm for the manufacture of hydraulic hoses, which service energy, OEM, marine, renewables and defence industries worldwide.Delivered to exacting standards and tight timelines, the scope was carried out in JTSW’s premises at Westway, before being delivered to the client.

Project: Maintenance and Repair Works
JTSW were contracted by George
Leslie to carry out a maintenance
schedule at the Tidal Weir Gate in
Glasgow. This comprises monthly,
quarterly and yearly inspections. Should
any fabrications or repairs be required
we have a team that mobile to the
Weir Gate, alternatively we complete
fabrication in the workshop and install
onsite.
