CD01: our barge

Malin Abram, heavy lift specialists and part of the Malin Group, are delighted to have created a new partnership with Augustea, to jumboize one of their barges at the Hat-Sen shipyard in Turkey. Now complete, the 137m barge offers a domestic capability not seen in Scotland for decades.The barge has recently been used for the launch of the Royal Navy’s new Type 26 vessels, under a contract with BAE Systems. She is now positioned in Northern Europe and available to the market. We are now pleased to offer charter options for cargo fixtures for 2023 and beyond.

Malin Equipment offers a range of commercial off the shelf marine equipment, both proprietary and manufactured under license.Access to other Group design resources, combined with the team’s extensive experience means that we are on hand to offer customised solutions for your equipment requirements.Our equipment range spans a diverse set of bespoke and off the shelf equipment options, ranging from ramps and keel blocks, to submarine operational support and rescue.

Clyde corrosion: blasting and painting

Clyde Corrosion offer a specialist blasting, paint and coating service, with custom facilities at our Westway base. Here they offer a trusted range of product finishes to a range of sectors – from oil and gas and nuclear, to construction and renewables.The team are also on hand to deliver expert blasting and painting on site, with satellite or pop up options also available for longer-term projects.

John Tracey Specialist Welding

JTSW offer clients a fully comprehensive welding service, from welding inspection to consultancy, 24 hours a day. With a commitment to the use of the latest techniques, we continually invest in ongoing training and development, from metallurgical compatibility of new materials and new welding rods, to new procedures and new test techniques.We offer over 200 qualified weld procedures, covering a range of exotic materials including fine grain, high strength steels, aluminium, stainless steel, super duplex, titanium and cunifer.
