He has honed his project management and leadership skills through a myriad of large quayside projects for the renewables and the offshore and subsea sectors, as well as through pipework systems for the mid and downstream sectors, predominantly for onshore storage sites – an area the Group’s John Tracey Specialist Welding team specialise in.
As General Manger, based at the organisations dedicated fabrication premises in Renfrew, he will be responsible for all operations at the facility, and will specifically oversee the groups Malin Newbuild business unit.
He explained: “I have always been aware of the Malin Group and have been impressed by their growing capabilities, as well as their commitment to innovation and expertise.
“The Malin name is synonymous with quality and the specialist services they offer are, I think, of particular value to the offshore and renewables sector – this was demonstrated recently at their successful series of Spotlight events, during Cop26. I am excited about demonstrating the extent of that expertise to a wider audience within the industry and the value it can add to their businesses.”
