We are delighted to announce a collaboration with the Lord Mayor of the City of London, the City of London Corporation and Green Finance Institute to deliver a series of sustainability focused events from our base at the North Rotunda in Glasgow during international climate summit COP26.

As well as hosting high profile guests and international media in Glasgow for key climate change discussions during the summit, the City of London Corporation will host a hybrid event focussed on the role of private finance in the transition to net zero through their Green Horizon Summit (GHS) platform, and the Lord Mayor himself will participate in the Malin Spotlight series of events which will bring together people from across the maritime industry to discuss the impact of the marine and shipping industries on climate change.

Catherine McGuinness, Policy Chair

Global ambassador for the City on behalf of the UK’s financial and professional services industry, the Lord Mayor of the City of London William Russell said:

“If COP26 is to be a success, all industries need to get round the table for full and frank discussions on tackling climate change.

“With emissions from shipping projected to increase significantly over the next few decades, it is essential we bring together maritime transport partners to discuss potential sustainable solutions, and I look forward to being involved in these discussions.”

Rt Hon Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman William Russell

Helenor Fisher, Brand Manager at the Malin Group said:

“We are delighted to host the Lord Mayor of London and the City of London Corporation throughout COP26 and to work together with them on key elements of the Malin Spotlight Series which will help to drive forward best practice and shape the future of the marine and shipping industries. I look forward to some very interesting discussions and the actions and outcomes that follow.”
