Some materials demand more than standard fabrication skills. Our coded welders work with high-performance and corrosion-resistant alloys every day, using the processes, preparation and controls each material needs to deliver sound, compliant welds.

Cunifer is widely used in marine and offshore pipework for its excellent resistance to seawater corrosion. Welding requires careful control of heat input, thorough cleaning to remove surface contaminants, and suitable filler materials to maintain weld integrity. Our welders use TIG welding and controlled purging where required to produce sound, corrosion-resistant joints that meet the demands of marine applications.

Super duplex is widely used in offshore and subsea environments. Careful heat input control is essential to keep the material’s strength and corrosion resistance, and our procedures are built around getting that balance right on every weld.

For stainless pipework we use controlled purging, separate tools and work areas to prevent carbon contamination, and post-weld pickling and passivation to restore the protective surface layer. Weld sequencing and proven techniques keep distortion to a minimum.

Aluminium’s high thermal conductivity and oxide layer need a specialist approach. Our team prepares and welds aluminium to the same exacting standards as our steel and alloy work.
