Maritime Supply Chain Development Centre
Intro
A core part of the SMTP will be the Maritime Supply Chain Development Centre (MSCDC), which will be delivered through collaboration with University of Strathclyde and West Dunbartonshire Council and forms one of six ambitious projects set to be funded through the Glasgow City Region Investment Zone. The MSCDC will operate as an agile, outcomes-focused SME that accelerates manufacturing supply-chain readiness for defence and maritime programmes.
MSCDC is not a traditional research centre. It will be a purpose-built platform developed around the realities, challenges, and ambitions of SMEs. Its mission: to accelerate the adoption of technologies through practical, low-risk, cost-effective deployment support.
