Malin Young Engineers

Our 2023 STEM festive competition winners

Intro

As an organisation, we support and actively encourage a love of science, technology, engineering and mathematics amongst the younger generation, through our Malin Young Engineers.

In response to the systemic lack of diversity within the engineering sector, we launched Malin Young Engineers, with a remit of engaging children from P1 to P7, S1 to University, to encourage them to take part in STEM activities. We are committed to engaging with children and young adults so that they may learn more on the opportunities within engineering generally and the marine sector specifically, and envisage a future within the sector.

Our support spans three interlinked areas, notably school visits, STEM resources and University visits.

Supporting your projects

We are here to support your projects from concept through to long-term operational support:

School Visits

We visit primary and secondary schools, and further and higher educational institutions across the country to offer hands-on practical STEM tasks, and showcasing engineering careers and opportunities.

A range of STEM Resources

We offer a range of easily downloadable booklets, each featuring fun STEM activities, using everyday household items.

Student Guide

From University visits, projects and career events, not to mention summer placements and internships, we offer a range of support for University level students.
