Clyde Corrosion Primed for Expansion as they Join the Malin Group

Clyde Corrosion Control Ltd were delighted to confirm their move to form part of the Malin Group, with the formal agreement documenting sale of all shares in the company being signed at the Group’s South Rotunda headquarters on the 7th October. Clyde Corrosion Control will now form a specialist division under the Group’s Malin Newbuild business unit, who specialise in large scale fabrication projects, most recently for Balfour Beatty and Caley Ocean Systems for a new nuclear power plant.

 

Clyde Corrosion Control has a long, respected history within the marine sector, having collaborated on several projects with the Group over the last few years. It is envisaged that this latest move will enable both to offer a more streamlined, turnkey service to the industry, spanning fabrication to specialist finishing.

Founded in 2002 by Bonnie Lowson and rooted in the Clyde’s industrial legacy, Clyde Corrosion Control are a respected provider with an established customer base in Scotland and beyond, spanning the oil and gas, nuclear, construction and renewables sectors. With enviable facilities and world-leading techniques, the firm are known to provide proven blast, paint, and coating services, from high performance epoxy coatings, and glass flake, to anti fouling, metal spraying and high decorative finishes. The firm also boast specialist solutions for tubular and structural steel, utilising their fully automatic Tihlman Wheelabrator which produces a clean surface profile.
