Our team consists of a group of experienced, yet diversely skilled individuals, spanning different technical, non-technical, sectoral and professional backgrounds. Skills displayed include CAD and 3D modelling, engineering, naval architecture, project management and consultancy.

Gary Mitchelson, general manager

Gary Mitchelson joined Malin Group in 2022, as the General Manager at our dedicated fabrication facility located at Westway. Gary is responsible for all operations at the facility, overseeing our Malin Newbuild business unit. He brings over 40 years of experience to the task, with 28 years of this at MD level. He boasts a diverse skills set, having worked across a variety of areas, from nuclear submarines, oil and gas and petrochemicals, to renewables and aerospace (including projects with the European Space agency). He has honed his project management and leadership skills through a myriad of large quayside projects for the renewables and the offshore and subsea sectors, as well as through pipework systems for the mid and downstream sectors, predominantly for onshore storage sites. His most recent project was the successful delivery of the construction of the world’s most powerful tidal turbine.

Bonnie Lowson, business development manager

Bonnie is the Business Development Manager of Clyde Corrosion Control, having founded the business and acted as MD for almost 30 years. With an enviable network and unrivalled knowledge of protective coatings and corrosion solutions, Bonnie brings an array of skills and expertise to this new role. This is teamed with an unparalleled passion for delivering a first rate client experience and thirst for innovative, progressive solutions.

jamie Lowson, project manager

Jamie Lowson is a seasoned specialist in protective coatings and corrosion solutions, having served almost a decade in the industry. His practical experience, developed in the workshop, is teamed with a commitment to client relationship building, having worked for a number of years in managerial level posts. He is an AMPP level 2 coatings inspector with a SVQ level 4 (degree) in OHAS, skills which he effectively deploys to champion quality within the organisation.

Marian Mocanu

Marian Mocanu is Clyde Corrosion Control’s foreman, having worked for the team for over 10 years. His exacting standards and keen eye for detail are a driving factor in the teams enviable reputation. An experienced sprayer, he has worked for a variety of clients, across sectors and location, enabling him to build a solid network and strong industry knowledge.

Dougie Smith

Dougie Smith is a seasoned expert, with over 30 years of experience, spanning the specialisms of blasting , painting and metal spraying. He is an AMPP level 2 coatings inspector, and this, combined with his wealth of industry knowledge and experience, makes him an invaluable member of the team. He has worked for Clyde Corrosion Control for 22 years, having built a strong reputation amongst our clients.

Sean Lowson

Sean Lowson brings drive and enthusiasm to the team, having been brought through the ranks by Dougie and Marian. His recent involvement in a number of specialist projects, combined with the undertaking of client inspections, has proven his natural ability and commitment to client satisfaction. He is also an experienced sprayer, with a flair for high gloss and specialist finishes.

Andrei Cazamerciuc

Clyde Corrosion Control have a firm commitment to skills development, evident by our active encouragement of apprenticeships. Andrei is our most recent apprentice, starting with CCC in December. He has already proven to be diligent, driven and eager to progress. As part of his structured programme, he is experiencing every aspect of painting and finishing, with a focus on the specialist skill of blasting – an area he has already shown a particular aptitude in.
