As well as our experienced and skilled welders and platers on the shop floor, we also have a number of skilled colleagues – from project engineers, to our general manager. 

 

 

Lindsey Jessop

General Manager

Lindsey joined the Malin Group in 2020, bringing 15 years of management experience developed across her international career to date. Eight years of Lindsey’s career were spent in the Maritime Industry working as Chief Officer on yachts, running vessels and project managing refit periods. Lindsey has a BA (Hons) in European business Studies with Spanish and a Chief Mate 3000gt qualification, covering nautical science topics including ship construction, navigation and radar, ship stability, and basic engineering. Her areas of specialism include managing people, problem solving, account management and business start-ups. Lindsey is resourceful and decisive, experienced in risk management and adept at building strategic relationships and developing talent. Lindsey is also finalising a MSc in Sustainability and Environmental Studies, which will be of value in her role as part of the steering group for Malin’s sustainability action plan.

Assistant Project Engineer

Following 18 months of working with the Malin Group, through their intern programme, Logan successfully secured an Assistant Project Engineer role, working for the John Tracey Specialist Welding business unit. Whilst undertaking his internship, Logan also successfully attended University, having recently graduated with a degree in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering. This experience afforded him the opportunity to develop unrivalled project management and planning skills, which paired with his technical expertise provides him with a strong skills set for the role and wider fabrication and welding industry.

Business Development Manager

Peter comes to JTSW with over 25 years of business development experience, with a diverse range of skills spanning brand development, process improvement and business development initiatives to drive customer acquisition and operational efficiency targets. Prior to joining the Malin Group, he worked extensively in the civil engineering, construction, and renewables sector, involving projects on a UK wide scale. Since joining the group, he has worked to build customer awareness, through new market penetration, partnership development and cross-functional collaboration within the Malin group.

Project Administrator

Jenna joins John Tracey Specialist Welding as a Project Administrator, bringing a wealth of experience from her previous role in waste management services. With excellent customer service skills and expertise, Jenna will help to support JTSW’s existing reputation in the market, as well as continue to expand our local client base.

Grzegorz Nakrajnik

Chargehand and Trainer

Grzegorz is John Tracey Specialist Welding’s resident trainer, with a breadth of experience across a range of exotic materials and processes, including high strength steels, stainless steel, duplex, aluminium in TIG, MIG and MMA. With extensive experience, developed across multiple trades and coded to Lloyds Register standards, Grzeggroz has been an invaluable asset to the team over the past 7 years. With an enviable passion and enthusiasm for welding, he is always a driving force on site as our lead Chargehand.

Scott has been part of JTSW  for over 6 of his 17 years’ experience as a welder, plater and pipefitter. He has previously worked on projects for various industries including renewables, tidal turbines, oil industry, whole boat fabrication, nuclear power. Over the next year Scott is going to be taking on the role of chargehand and project lead for some of our major projects. With his striking blue eyes he is hard to miss on site and forms a key part of the team, providing support to the wider team,  encouraging them to develop and upskill. In his words “he is here for a graft no matter what the hours are”.

With 13 years’ experience as a multi coded welder across a range of materials, including duplex, chrome, and stainless steel, Jamie joined John Tracey Specialist Welding in 2022. His past experience includes welding in highly specialised and challenging environments, such as nuclear power stations, petrochemical and pharmaceutical sites. Jamie is looking forward to developing codings across more materials and processes, as well as cementing his relationships with colleagues and clients alike.  

As a time served welder and pipefitter Dylan joined the John Tracey Specialist Welding team at the start of 2023, following 9 successful years at Tritec. Dylan brings a broad range of experience, developed in different industries including distilleries, pharmaceuticals and power stations. Dylan is keen to seize every opportunity to develop skills in new materials and processes with the John Tracey Specialist welding team.

James Flynn

James joined John Tracey Specialist Welding in 2020 as our Maintenance Engineer, responsible for managing our fleet of vehicles. He is also our project lead for all weir gate maintenance for the Clyde. Over the next year James is hoping to develop more codings and to further hone his welding skills and capability. James is pivotable member of our team, with a positive demeanour that works to engage and drive forward the wider team .
