Client: GPS Macs | Completed: August 2024 | Cargo: over 500 concrete mattresses
Malin Abram were contracted by GPS Marine & Civil Services Ltd to complete two barge stability analyses, alongside the seafastening design, for the delivery of over 500 concrete mattresses. These were to form three shipments, travelling from Montrose to London Gateway.

TRANSPORTATION of karish north project cargo part 2

Client: Technip FMC | Completed: May 2024 | Cargo: 76 items of cargo, the largest and heaviest of which being an empty reel at 11.4m x 5.9m x11.5m 77.5Te, to a skid frame at 0.8m x 0.8m x 1.8m 667kg.
Malin Abram Ltd (MA) were contracted by TechnipFMC to carry out the transportation of various project cargo items as part of their Karish North project. More than 70 items of cargo were loaded in Limassol, Cyprus, and transported to Newcastle, UK where the empty reel was discharged. The remainder of the cargo was discharged in Peterhead, however due to Storm Babet and the adverse weather conditions hitting the East Coast of the UK, lifting operations were restricted and only a small portion of the cargo was discharged, with the final remaining cargo being discharged in Leith.

TRANSPORTATION of reels

Client: Technip FMC | Completed: August 2022 | Cargo: Selection of reels
We were delighted to work with TechnipFMC on three reel shipments during a busy summer campaign. These shipments facilitated TechnipFMC’s ongoing work in support of their offshore development projects. The first shipment was in support of the CNOOC International Telford project, to transport a number of reels on installation cradles from Technip’s manufacturing facilities in Newcastle and Le Trait, to Nigg. The second cargo shipment included umbilicals for TFMC’s work on the Evelyn Phase 1 and Gannet E Expansion projects, in partnership with Dana Petroleum and Tailwind Energy, as well as TFMC’s contract with Ithaca Energy (UK) on their Enhanced Oil recovery project at the captain field in the North Sea.

TRANSPORTATION OF KARISH NORTH PROJECT CARGO

Client: TechnipFMC| Completed: May 2023 | Cargo: A subsea manifold, 4 well jumper termination heads, suction pile and additional containerised project equipment
Malin Abram were contracted by TechnipFMC to conduct the transportation engineering for various items of cargo in support of the Karish North development. This involved design of seafastenings, generation of stowage and securing plans, and detailed lift engineering using the vessel cranes aboard BBC Brisbane. The cargo was loaded at Aviles, Spain and discharged in Limassol, Cyprus. The cargo consisted of a subsea Manifold, well jumper termination heads and suction pile.

TURNKEY TRANSPORTATION

Client: EFAB | Completed: October 2022 | Cargo: Caustic tank
The Malin Abram team were delighted to successfully carry out a full turnkey project for EFAB Industrial Solutions Limited (EFAB), on behalf of their client Ensus UK Ltd. EFAB were contracted by Ensus UK Ltd to build a new caustic tank for the Ensus site in Middlesbrough. Ensus operates one of Europe’s largest production plants for renewable ethanol at Wilton on Teesside in Northeast England.
